Ghanaian Recycled Glass Beads
Glass Beads from Ghana - these unique beads are created from pulverized glass which is then poured into a clay mold, a hole is made using a cassava root stem.
The mould is placed in a furnace and heated until the glass particles congeal without actually melting and the stem burns out.
The glass itself is derived from a variety of recycled sources including old beverage and medicine bottles.
